Tentative Prototype

Ultimately this is somewhat what I want it to look like...

The menu on the side is capable of hiding and pulling out. Therefore, the user could choose if they would like to skip to a different chapter, or just follow my instructions.

The chapter would play and animate as directed...

During the animation, the user has a choice to "stop" the animation, resume, play again, or go on to the next chapter.

The New Concept...

Oh geeze I hope that you guys could read that, but if not- this is gonna be the new "concept" that I've suddenly came up with. It draws from the concept of storytelling. Basically I will have nearly 20 different scenes relating to the concep of inspiration, which are as follows (tentatively)

The user will have different scenes to choose from. For example, the title "Paper and Me", would be piles of paper stacking and overlapping each other, and the user could either choose form the options that I provide after the ending of that scene (which would be to other scenes availble), or they could simply pull out the navigation bar and choose where they would like to go next. This way it would be non-linear, however in a user-interface perspective- it would be user-friendly so that the user could still have some control over where they would like to go next.

Now the intro (splash screen or whatever you like to call it) to this "prototype" would have split scene videos of me searching for inspiration, which would resemble something like this...

More "older" concepts

This was the original idea... which probably won't work so well anymore, but I'm planning to keep all these drawings, and you'll soon know why.

Better late than sorry-- good thing I attended today, and thanks for the "dan-tat" and thanks to Covin for answering the fone when I called him. After the discussion today, I think that I have a better understanding of where I need to go, well maybe not- but more or less a better "anchor point" as Prof Chan indicated. I think that I will work with the concept of building from what I've built already- with all the documented information that I've used to construct this protocol... or what is to be built (nothing has really begun yet) is what I will be using as the basis for this site.

Interesting Website

http://www.hollisterco.com/hol/homepage.html
This is the kind of look that I'm trying to achieve. It's somewhat like a scrapbook concept- but I will be using a corkboard and thumtacks. Can't wait to post my pictures up.
